- The Prince of Wales visits a Buddhist centre which has been working
to help Sri Lankan victims of the Tsunami.
Charles is to meet volunteers in Chiswick,
west London, who have been gathering clothes and vital medical supplies
to send to the countries’ devastated areas.
The London Buddhist Vihara was the
first Buddhist monastery to established outside the continent of
Asia. It was first set up in 1926 and funded by Sri Lankan born
Buddhist, Anagarika Dharmapala.
The Prince will earlier in the day
visit the Skylight cafe in east London which encourages and helps
homeless people to find work and which is supported by the charity
